People love the speed of the treatment and it’s changing the face of dentistry as we know it!

窶弋he Inman Aligner is the greatest innovation in dentistry of recent years. It窶冱 fast, affordable and kind to teeth. It really is the best way to straighten crowded front teeth.窶 – Dr. Donald Clifford

Dr. Clifford and his staff are excited to offer Inman Aligner, an alternative to invisible or traditional braces. Inman Aligners use tiny nickel titanium springs that keep constant tension to quickly shift teeth into the desired position. Because of the ability to keep the constant tension on the teeth with an Inman Aligner the alignment of your front teeth can be corrected in six to sixteen weeks depending on the initial severity.

Unlike invisible braces which require a series of aligners over the course of your treatment with Inman Aligners you only have one aligner throughout the complete treatment. The Inman aligner is also easy to remove and reinsert just like a retainer.

It is not uncommon for adults to notice their teeth have shifted and their front teeth now appear crooked or crowded, this is especially true for adults who wore braces when they were younger. This does not mean that you absolutely need full braces. Dr. Clifford will be very happy to do an examination to determine if you are a possible candidate for the Inman Aligner.

Until now, the alternatives to straighten front teeth involved either long and expensive orthodontic treatments or expensive restorative treatments such as veneers or crowns.

But all that has changed! If you have crooked, crowded, rotated, or protruding bottom or top front teeth we have a fast and gentle way to guide those teeth into the ideal position.

The Inman Aligner is a cost-effective removable orthodontic appliance that moves teeth in a fraction of the time of other systems. It aligns crowded or protruding front teeth with two opposing spring loaded aligner bars. This provides gentle but continuous pressure over a large range of movement. Surprisingly, this gentle pressure is the quickest way to move teeth but it also makes treatment very safe and kind to teeth.

The average treatment time is only 4-16 weeks and now with the concerns over the economy, it窶冱 a more justifiable expense.

Apart from its esthetic benefits, the Inman Aligner is easy to use and can be inserted and removed at any time, allowing eating, brushing (and kissing) to continue as normal Once teeth have moved to the desired position, a very discreet retainer holds them in place, so they remain in their new position.

Will the treatment with Inman Aligner be painful or uncomfortable?

Because the aligner uses a gentle, steady force most patients find them easy to tolerate. You may experience some minor discomfort the first couple of days until you become acclimated to the aligner. Patients also find that as with any appliance placed in the mouth the Inman Aligner does affect the way you speak until you become used to it, which is typically a week or two.

Since one aligner is used for the whole treatment will I need to come in for frequent adjustments?

The Inman Aligner is preprogrammed to reduce the need for multiple visits to the office for adjustments.

Since the Inman Aligner is removable can I take it out when it is not convenient to wear it?

It is recommended that you wear the aligner for at least 16 to 20 hours a day so you are able to achieve the fast results. If necessary you can remove the aligner for short periods of time but should place it back in as soon as possible.

Once treatment is completed will I need to wear a retainer?

Yes, after your treatment is completed you will be fitted for a retainer that will be worn at night. The retainer will help your teeth stay in their optimal position once your treatment with the Inman Aligner is completed.
