Financial Information

Dr. Clifford and his team consider their relationship with you to be of primary importance and will always make recommendations based on what we believe is the very best treatment for you regardless of your insurance coverage or financial arrangements. In keeping with our promise to be a 窶徘atient-centered窶 practice, you are given all of the information you need during the consultation, including estimated costs of the procedures you are considering, before we do any type of dental work for you.

For your comfort and convenience, we offer a wide range of financial options and welcome your suggestions and questions. You can decide what you want to do and what is affordable for you.

In an effort to keep dental costs down, while maintaining a high level of professional care, we have established the following payment plans for the use of our patients:

  1. Payment for services is due at the time services are rendered, unless prior arrangements have been made and approved in writing. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks or cash.
  2. For major treatments, we also offer financing through Care Credit, Capital One Healthcare Finance and Chase Health Advantage.
  3. We offer a 5% bookkeeping discount for prepayment in full by cash prior to all major treatment
  4. Preauthorized Credit Card Agreement – with your permission and signature, we will charge your credit card with a predetermined payment amount each month. This allows you to make monthly payments without applying for additional credit.
  5. Gradual Treatment Plan 窶 for those patients on a limited budget. By prioritizing treatment, patients without dental insurance or those on a tight budget can still complete their dental work by spreading appointments over several months or years.

A charge may be made for an appointment failed or cancelled without 48 business hours notice, at the rate of $25. Appointment time is reserved in advance and with short or no notice, we do not have the opportunity to fill the time with another guest. We value your time and also ask that you please consider our efforts to accommodate those guests needing or waiting to come in.

Your benefit plan is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company and we are not a party to that contract. We are your advocate to help you receive the maximum benefit provided by your benefit plan, and are happy to assist you in understanding your specific plan. It is sometimes difficult to estimate benefits and not all services are covered in all contracts. All policies have limitations and restrictions in order to keep the premium lower to the employer or sponsor. This does not dictate what treatment you are entitled to, should be done, or change the treatment plan suggested for you; rather it is a decision by your employer and insurance company to limit the benefit paid for that type of procedure. As a service to our patients, we are able to help you by electronically filing your claim for your direct insurance reimbursement.

Some employers, in conjunction with their employees, will set up special pre-tax dollar medical and dental expense accounts (FLEX Spending Account) to pay for all dental treatment you need or desire, including cosmetic procedures. You should check this option out with your employer because it can mean substantial savings to you.
